I have been an athlete my entire life. I have competed in almost every sport there is including being a 4 year NCAA athlete. When I graduated college I was looking for something I could do to keep my competitive juices alive and that's when I discovered boxing. In 2003 I began training. By 2004 I had my first amateur fight winning by KO. Over the next several years I continued to train and fight in exhibition matches. In 2013 I was licensed by USA Boxing and had my last fight in August of 2015.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE MY CLASS:
I have been teaching boxing at several local gyms since 2008. It is something I love to do and see myself doing it for the rest of my life. I too continue to train and try to learn something new every day that I can implement. I have worked with several different trainers and learned a lot from each of them. I teach my class's the same way I was taught. Whether it is your very first class or you are a grizzled veteran I will train you just like competitive fighters are trained. You can expect to learn the fundamental's of boxing starting with proper stance, footwork and how to throw punches correctly. If you are a beginner I will break down proper technique into easy steps for you to learn. We will utilize heavy bags, shadow boxing, focus mitts as well as a number of other training tools and methods. As you progress week to week we will start to develop more advanced techniques.
